ONE MINUTE with Sharanu Alloli

Sharanu Alloli is a Mumbai based artist trained under Andani VG at Gulbarga art school. He is famous for his nude self portraits which he painted more than 50 still counting. His early success came from Singapore art auction house Larasatti.
In this video he is creating self portrait with wood.
I still need to capture him working on canvas.

Dr. Shivanand Bantnur is a sculptor and scholar from Hampi. He created this sculpture in just 3 days. India has a large number of artists who are not known out side their state due to language constrain. In the era of internet these artist must get their share of name, fame and reward beyond the border of state and country. Dr. Shivanand has penned 8 books on art in Kannada Language. He teaches at karnataka University near World Heritage Hampi.

Santosh Andani is an artist from Banglore, India. A sensitive friend with a unique sense of humor. He studied at Gulbarga art collage.
this video is a part of my personal project documenting artists in the process of art making.
it started with the idea of shooting a photograph which is not of a fraction of a second but a longer now. each time when i look at these videos they take me that NOW.

we artists are greedy people. when i decided to do ONE MINUTE project- i thought i will shoot just one video, but now it seems i must share the other video too...to do justice with the artist's work.
some videos are longer than 'one minute' of clock time. But some times I loose the track of the time and the recording goes on.
we often say- 'just a minute!' and pull it for half an hour...!
